Metaverse is a 3D virtual world where you can talk to people worldwide and explore together. People have compared Metaverse to Facebook’s Spaces because it lets people make avatars of themselves and interact with other avatars in a shared virtual world. Metaverse has also developed its augmented reality glasses called Meta Frames. People can see digital objects superimposed on the real world around them when they wear them.

Metaverse? Future of Digital Identity

What are the Metaverse and the future of identity? is a question with an answer that is surprisingly hard to give. Metaverse is an augmented reality space made by Facebook, which you might know from its social media site and instant messaging service. Metaverse lets people make their worlds or spaces that can be explored on your phone through an app.

Digital Identity

Metaverse has some cool features, like the ability to record videos in 360 degrees and more. Metaverse’s augmented reality glasses, called Meta Frames, let people put digital objects on top of what they see in the real world. Metaverse is a virtual world with some fantastic features, and it’s not just for VR!

Digital Identity

Social Media To Virtual World

Some people might remember that Facebook was working on a social media site called Metaverse before launching its second Spaces version in 2017. Metaverse lets people make avatars for themselves and explore the spaces that others on this platform have made.

Many people thought that Metaverse would be a big deal when it came out in 2020, but it looks like it could be even more significant. This is because the AR experience it offers seems pretty cool so far. Metaverse promises many things that could make it worth looking into, but we’ll have to wait until it’s out in the public before we can find out more.

Digital Identity

What’s Metaverse Like Now and Why Is Digital Identity Important?

As I said before, Metaverse has some excellent features, such as 360-degree video capture. Also, it has its AR glasses called Meta Frames, letting users see digital objects overlaid on real-world spaces.

In a sentence, you can use the word “cyberspace” instead of “the metaverse.” Most of the time, the sentence’s meaning won’t change 90 percent of the time.

Digital Identity

At its core, the idea of the Metaverse is a grand one. It is a fully simulated world in which we can all take part. People who push for things like NFTs, which are cryptographic tokens that can be used to prove ownership of a digital asset, shouldn’t be surprised that they also like the idea of the Metaverse.

This is important to remember because it may be tempting to compare today’s proto-metaverse ideas to the early internet and assume that everything will get better and develop in a straight line, but that isn’t a given. There’s no guarantee that people will want to hang out in a virtual office or play Texas Hold’em with Dreamworks Mark Zuckerberg if they don’t have legs, much less that VR and AR technology will ever be good enough to compete with smartphones and PCs.

It’s also possible that a real “metaverse” would be some cool VR games and digital avatars in Zoom chats.

Digital Identity

How Do I Get Metaverse AR?

As I’ve already said, Metaverse is just an optimistic plan for the near future, and you can’t get your hands on it yet because you can’t buy headsets. However, Facebook has said that Meta will be launching soon, so if you’re interested in this new technology or sphere, call it what you want, you should keep reading, and I’ll tell you more about new features and more:)
